FATHERS’ DAY STALL

We are looking for some parents and grandparents to volunteer to help sell fathers’ day gifts to our students on Wednesday 30th to Thursday 31st August. Please let the office know if you are able to assist for some of this time so that we can make sure that all students get the opportunity to purchase a gift for their dads.

SAFE SCHOOLS

There has been a lot of talk and publicity regarding Safe Schools in the community and on social media. EARLY COLLECTION OF STUDENTS

Please be aware that it is extremely difficult to locate students who are out in the yard during recess and lunch breaks. If you require your child to be collected early from school please give as much notice as possible to the office staff as we can only allow one message to be made over the loud speaker. As we have students and staff working during the different recess and lunch breaks any messages can be disturbing to the classes still working. The year 1s, 3s and 4s have recess at 10-10:30 and lunch 12:40-1:30 and the years prep, 2s, 5s and 6s have recess at 11-11:30 and lunch  1:40-2:30. Thank you for your cooperation.

STUDENT ABSENCES

The school is required to report to DET the student attendance and absence data which is why we need to ascertain why your child is absent from school. Absences are marked as unapproved if we do not have a note, a phone call or a message to inform us of the reason for your child not attending school. The Education Department believes that parents should endeavour to send their child to school ready for learning every possible school day and that illness is really the only reason that a child should be away for.
